It was so great to see so many of you last Saturday. You were all looking so beautiful in you near 40s.

We had Emily Gibbons, Janice Van Mondfrans, Erin Bergeson, Kenji Kawasaki (in from Seattle), Byron Ames (up from Vegas), Matt Reynolds (and family), Gordon Harkness, Maria Staffieri, Dustin Pead (and family), Dave Backman, Greg Wells (in from Chicago), Todd Wakefield, and Benjamin Heuston (and family)--and I think I caught a glimps of Teri Johnson at the picnic but when I looked around she was gone. Can someone confirm? We met with families at the school for lunch and then as couples at Nancy and Dusty Heuston's house for an informal dinner.

We reached many out-of-Staters who sent greetings but were unable to make it, and a number who had hoped to be able to come but who had things come up at the last minute. There are still a number of people that we haven't been able to find contact information for but we will continue the hunt.

Tomorrow, if I can get my wife to download the photos I took, I'll post some images of the evening gathering. If anyone else has any, I'd be happy to post those as well.

Many thanks to the school for the picnic and Benj (probably Heather) Heuston for organizing the food, and to Nancy & Dusty for their gracious hospitality until late in the night Saturday--even with Gospel Doctrine lessons looming. It was wonderful to see them again.

Price Reduction

Looks like we will be able to the reduce the costs after all. We should be fine with $20 per person or $30 per couple for the evening event. Thanks.

Catching Up

If you'll notice the Photos & Blurbs link in the right hand column, you'll see we've created a page where we will ALL post photos and a couple of paragraphs about our last 20 years. PLEASE contribute (for now, send stuff to gregjwells@gmail.com and I'll post it). Photos on a reunion blog are meager substitutes for actually being at the reunion. But for those who cannot-possibly-in-all-the-world make it, it's at least a chance for us all to capture the readers digest version of our first entire generation since reaching adulthood.

The Details

Alright fellow Waterford Originals--or semi-originals--we are now just a week away from our much anticipated 20th reunion. In spite of having been given only the sketchiest of details, many of you have committed to catching flights, driving long distances, and interrupting big Saturday plans to share in what promises to be some seriously nostalgic time together. We thank you. We now offer an installment of scheduling details.

THE PICNIC:

Reunion Family Picnic for all reunion classes 1990, 1995, 2000 & 2005

The Waterford School Campus in Sandy ∙ South Quad

11:30 am - 1:30 pm ∙ Saturday Aug. 28th (that's VERY soon)

Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon on the campus.

Tour the classrooms & reunite with classmates and faculty.

Home of the Head of School

COST:

The School will be covering all costs for the Picnic.

We are thinking $30 per person/$50 per couple should cover anything we could ingest during the evening plus whatever creative things we come up with.

We may narrow in further on that number in the coming days. OR maybe we can hit up some local businesses to sponsor us...we could include their logos on our reunion programs.
